Hi, I'm Melody.
I'm a product designer at Dropbox, helping people unleash their creative energy and find more flow. Previously, I was a lead product designer at Tile, focused on shaping the future of how people interact with their things.
I’ve created product and content experiences for billions of people at Facebook and Google, earned an MFA in Interaction Design at the School of Visual Arts, and a BA in Comparative Literature at Columbia University.
My mission is to make our experiences with technology a little more human. To make things that serve people, not users. I'm passionate about design's potential to impact people's behaviors and make life easier, whether solutions come in the form of screens, paper or physical objects. Particular interests of mine include product design, behavior change, and hard problems.
Guided by curiosity and a love of learning, I'm at my best when I'm working at the edge of my abilities, pushing myself to explore new ways to express ideas. This inner fire is what drove me back to grad school, and it's what compelled me to co-create a children's book about the magic of making things.
Throughout my journey, I've come to discover a delightful overlap between design and writing. The space in-between? That's where I thrive.
